J. Bretz is the Founder and CEO of Excel Roofing, bringing over 33 years of experience and leadership in the roofing industry. He leads from the front, setting the standard for quality, integrity, and craftsmanship across every project.
J. Bretz is an Owens Corning Platinum Advisory Board Alumni and a Colorado Roofing Association Board Alumni. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation as a respected industry leader, committed to excellence and advancing professional standards within the roofing community.
Vice President
Henry Bretz serves as Vice President of Excel Roofing, overseeing residential roof replacement, commercial roofing systems, storm damage restoration, and company-wide operations across Denver, Englewood, Colorado Springs, Casper, and surrounding markets. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Henry represents the second generation of leadership at Excel Roofing, a family-owned company founded in 1993.
With hands-on experience from hail damaged residential shingles to large-scale commercial tile and low-slope systems, Henry understands how roofs are built, how they fail, and how they perform long-term. He holds multiple Colorado Roofing Association certifications in metal, flat, and asphalt roofing systems, along with OSHA safety credentials and manufacturer certifications.
Beyond roofing expertise, Henry designs and implements the operational systems that power Excel Roofing. He builds company-wide accountability frameworks, AI-supported estimating processes, project management infrastructure, and SEO-driven website systems that educate homeowners before they ever call. As a marketing and search engine optimization strategist, Henry ensures Excel Roofing’s website answers real buyer questions about roof replacement costs, storm damage claims, commercial roofing systems, and insurance processes. His belief is simple: an educated homeowner makes better decisions.
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor and recipient of the Owens Corning Pinnacle Safety Award (2024) and Growth Award (2025). Henry played a key role in modernizing operations while maintaining the company’s long-standing commitment to quality and safety.
Henry is direct about roofing realities. Not every roof requires full replacement. Insurance claims do not always cover everything. The lowest bid often reflects lower-grade materials, skipped permits, or uninsured labor. Excel Roofing does not charge money up front, and homeowners do not pay until the job is completed to their satisfaction. Transparency prevents conflict later.
He chose to continue building Excel Roofing because it remains family-owned and locally operated, not controlled by outside investment firms focused purely on margin. That independence allows the company to prioritize long-term customer experience over short-term volume.
Outside of work, Henry spends time in the Colorado mountains skiing, snowmobiling, and cycling. He believes in operational discipline, honest communication, and building systems that protect both the homeowner and the company long term.
If you are considering a roof repair, roof replacement, storm damage claim, or commercial roofing project in Colorado or Wyoming, Henry’s goal is to ensure the process is structured, transparent, and professionally executed from start to finish.

“Excel Roofing has been in business for 31 years and looks forward to another 30-plus years under the leadership of Henry Bretz.”
“As of September 2024, Excel Roofing has completed over 45,000 projects and, according to their Owens Corning representative, is the largest buyer of Owens Corning materials in the region.”
General Manager
Dominic Herrera serves as General Manager of Excel Roofing, leading residential roof replacement, commercial roofing systems, storm damage restoration, and multi-family projects across Colorado and Wyoming. With a roofing career that began in 1999 working on traditional tar and gravel systems, Dominic brings more than two decades of hands-on construction and operational leadership experience to every project.
Over the years, he has worked across steep-slope shingle systems, low-slope commercial roofing, framing, siding, window installation, and full structural construction. That field experience gives him a rare, systems-level understanding of how buildings perform and where failures occur when shortcuts are taken. From complex commercial systems to high-volume residential storm restoration, Dominic has overseen projects that require precision, code compliance, safety enforcement, and disciplined execution.
At Excel Roofing, Dominic has held leadership roles as Production Manager, Sales Manager, and now General Manager. He oversees roofing operations across multiple branches, managing quality control, insurance claim coordination, large-loss storm response, multi-family communities, and team performance infrastructure. Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star rating on Google. The company is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor and operates with full licensing, insurance, and permit compliance across every market served.
Dominic sets the execution standard. He is direct about roofing realities. Not every roof requires full replacement. Insurance carriers do not automatically approve everything requested. Lower bids often reflect reduced material quality, uninsured labor, or skipped ventilation requirements. Excel Roofing does not charge money up front, and homeowners do not pay until the job is completed to their satisfaction. Transparency and accountability are not marketing phrases — they are operational requirements.
Based out of the Englewood headquarters and living in Aurora with his family, Dominic leads with structure, discipline, and measurable performance standards. His philosophy is simple: build it correctly, communicate clearly, and stand behind the work long after installation.
For homeowners, property managers, and commercial owners across Colorado and Wyoming, Dominic represents the operational backbone behind every Excel Roofing project — ensuring that scale never compromises quality.

A Colorado native raised in Lakewood and graduate of Green Mountain High School, Brock brings disciplined leadership and performance-driven standards to every roofing project.
After playing collegiate football at Southern Virginia University, Brock developed a mindset built on accountability, preparation, and execution under pressure — principles that now define how he leads the Denver sales division. As Sales Manager, Brock is responsible for training and developing roofing advisors, setting expectations for communication standards, and ensuring every proposal is technically accurate and aligned with building codes and manufacturer specifications. Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor and operates with full licensing, insurance, and permit compliance across Colorado and Wyoming.

Dan serves as Branch Manager of Excel Roofing in Sheridan, Wyoming, overseeing residential roof replacement, commercial roofing systems, storm damage restoration, and roof repair projects throughout Northern Wyoming. He began his roofing career in 1982, installing shakes, asphalt shingles, hot tar systems, tile roofing, and low-slope commercial systems by hand. With more than 40 years of field experience, Dan understands roofing from the structural deck up because he physically built the systems himself.
Over four decades, Dan has worked across steep-slope residential roofs, heavy snow-load systems, high-wind installations, and commercial flat roofing designed to withstand Wyoming’s extreme temperature swings. His technical knowledge comes from installation — not theory — and that experience shapes how he leads today. He knows what proper flashing should look like, how ventilation failures develop, and where shortcuts eventually cause leaks.
As Branch Manager in Sheridan, Dan leads residential and commercial roofing operations, quality control, storm response, and insurance claim coordination across the region. Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and operates with full licensing, insurance coverage, and permit compliance. The company does not charge money up front, and homeowners do not pay until the project is completed to their satisfaction.
Dan is direct with property owners about roofing realities in Wyoming. Not every roof requires full replacement. Insurance coverage varies by policy. Lower bids often reflect reduced material thickness, improper underlayment, or labor shortcuts that do not hold up under heavy snow and wind. In Wyoming’s climate, installation precision matters more than price alone.
Well known throughout the Wyoming roofing industry, Dan is respected for his longevity, craftsmanship standards, and no-nonsense approach to quality. His focus is simple: install it correctly, build it to last, and stand behind the work.
Outside of work, Dan is a loyal Raiders fan, a proud pit bull enthusiast, and enjoys traveling to Kauai to snorkel and recharge.
For homeowners and commercial property owners in Sheridan and surrounding Wyoming communities, Dan brings four decades of installation expertise and leadership to every roofing project.

Coady serves as Branch Manager of Excel Roofing in Casper, Wyoming, leading residential roof replacement, commercial roofing systems, storm damage restoration, and insurance claim coordination throughout the Casper region. Since 2007, Excel Roofing has completed more than 3,000 projects across Wyoming, providing the local experience and operational backing that support every project under his leadership.
Casper’s climate is demanding. Hail, high winds, heavy snow loads, and rapid temperature swings put roofing systems to the test. Coady works directly with homeowners and property managers to determine whether a roof needs repair or full replacement, explain material options such as impact-resistant shingles and low-slope commercial systems, and ensure each project meets Wyoming building codes and manufacturer specifications. Roofing in Wyoming is not just about installation — it is about durability.
As Branch Manager, Coady oversees inspections, estimates, scheduling, quality control, and insurance communication from start to finish. He sets clear expectations upfront so homeowners understand scope, timeline, and cost before work begins. Excel Roofing operates with full licensing, insurance, and permit compliance and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the job is completed to their satisfaction.
Coady is straightforward about roofing realities. Not every roof requires full replacement. Insurance policies vary and do not automatically cover everything. The lowest bid often reflects lower-grade materials, reduced labor standards, or limited warranty protection. His responsibility is to provide honest assessments and help property owners make informed decisions without pressure.
Backed by Excel Roofing’s manufacturer certifications, established systems, and regional buying power, Coady ensures Casper homeowners receive both local accountability and long-term company stability.
For residential and commercial property owners in Casper and surrounding Wyoming communities, his focus is simple: install it correctly, communicate clearly, and build roofing systems designed to withstand Wyoming weather.
Branch Manager | Colorado Springs
Chris serves as Branch Manager for Excel Roofing in Colorado Springs, leading residential roof replacement, roof repair, and storm damage restoration projects throughout El Paso County and surrounding Colorado communities.
He entered the home improvement industry in early 2024 with a deliberate decision to learn a skilled trade and build something tangible. What started as a new challenge quickly became work he takes genuine pride in. Chris has worked hands-on across full roof replacements, repairs, inspections, ventilation upgrades, flashing corrections, and detailed quality control walkthroughs. He has also managed the administrative side of roofing — writing scopes, documenting storm damage for insurance claims, coordinating with adjusters, managing production schedules, and training project managers on inspection standards and manufacturer requirements.
Because he has worked both on the roof and behind the scenes, Chris understands how small details impact long-term performance. He knows how improper flashing leads to leaks, how ventilation affects shingle life, and how poor documentation can stall an insurance claim. That practical perspective shapes how he leads the Colorado Springs branch.
Before entering roofing, Chris served 14.5 years in the United States Air Force after enlisting at 18. The values of accountability, service before self, and ownership still guide how he operates today. When issues arise — and in construction they sometimes do — Chris addresses them directly, communicates clearly about the solution, and focuses on resolving the root cause rather than covering up the symptom.
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company is fully licensed and insured, operates with permit compliance, and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the job is completed to their satisfaction.
Chris chose Excel Roofing because of its reputation for honesty — whether that means delivering good news or hard news. He believes homeowners deserve transparency, straightforward communication, and a contractor who stands behind the work long after installation.
Based in Colorado Springs, Chris prioritizes family time, staying active in the gym, and maintaining the discipline that defines his leadership style. His goal is simple: guide homeowners through the roofing process clearly, answer every question, and eliminate surprises along the way.
Senior Project Manager
Kevin began his career in the home improvement industry in 1999 when he joined Excel Roofing. What started as a career shift quickly became a long-term commitment to mastering roofing systems and serving homeowners the right way. Today, he is widely known within the Colorado roofing industry as one of the state’s leading project managers and has earned numerous performance awards at Excel Roofing for quality execution and customer satisfaction.
Raised in Southeast Denver, Kevin attended Denver Public Schools and Mullen High School before earning his Bachelor of Science degree from CU Boulder. His early leadership background in retail shaped how he approaches roofing today — with accountability, responsiveness, and a clear understanding that homeowners deserve to feel taken care of.
Over the past two decades, Kevin has worked across nearly every major roofing system used in Colorado. On steep-slope roofs, he manages concrete and clay tile, asphalt shingles, stone-coated steel, pro panel systems, standing seam metal, and modern synthetic shake and slate products. On the low-slope side, he oversees EPDM, PVC, and modified bitumen systems. He has managed projects ranging from single-family homes to large HOA communities and multi-unit properties.
No matter the scale, his standard does not change.
“Precision, protection, and performance. That’s the expectation every time.”
Kevin is known internally for ownership. If something needs attention, he shows up. If weather is coming in, he makes sure the home is secured. If a concern is raised, he addresses it directly.
“If something goes wrong, I don’t delegate responsibility. I take it.”
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and walked with them to ensure everything meets expectations.
Kevin personally conducts final walkthroughs before any payment is collected.
“I want it to look like we were never there — except for the new roof.”
Homeowners working with Kevin can expect clear communication, respect for their property, and direct answers. He treats every project the way he would treat his own home or that of a close friend.
Outside of roofing, Kevin spends as much time outdoors as possible. He swims, mountain bikes, road bikes, rides jet skis, spends time in Summit County, and works as a ski instructor at Keystone. He supports Colorado’s local teams — even the Rockies.
At the end of the day, Kevin’s approach is simple:
“We care about your home. We’ll make sure it’s done right. And I won’t ask for payment until we walk it together and you’re confident in the result.”

Eric began his career in home improvement with Excel Roofing in the fall of 1997 after being introduced to founder J. Bretz through mutual friends. Nearly three decades later, he remains a steady presence within the company and one of its most experienced project managers.
Raised in Denver’s Hilltop neighborhood near Cherry Creek, Eric attended Hill Middle School and Manual High School before earning his degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. His roots in Denver run deep, and so does his familiarity with the roofing challenges unique to Colorado’s climate.
Over the years, Eric has managed well over one thousand roofing projects across the greater Denver area. His experience spans residential re-roofing, repairs, additions, new construction, and commercial systems. Few situations surprise him anymore — and that experience shapes how he approaches each project.
“What a homeowner deserves and what they actually receive should be the same thing.”
For Eric, roofing starts with respect — respect for the property, the neighbors, the homeowner’s time, and the commitments made at the beginning of the project. Clear and consistent communication is what keeps projects on track.
When unexpected issues arise — and in construction they sometimes do — he addresses them directly.
“There’s no benefit in delaying tough conversations. Problems get solved faster when they’re confronted head-on.”
Eric values organization and punctuality. If a schedule is set, it is honored. If a commitment is made, it is fulfilled.
“Time, along with health, is the most important asset we have.”
Many of the homeowners Eric works with feel overwhelmed not because of the roof itself, but because of the insurance process. Insurance adds complexity and a third party to the conversation. Eric takes the time to clearly explain what the homeowner’s responsibilities are, what Excel Roofing’s responsibilities are, and how the claim process works step by step.
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations.
“At the end of the day, it’s just a roof,” Eric often says. “We’ve completed thousands of them. The key is making sure the homeowner feels informed every step of the way.”
Outside of work, Eric enjoys hiking, playing tennis, traveling, and keeping up with European soccer. While the competitive miles may be fewer these days, his consistency remains unchanged.
For homeowners in Denver navigating roof replacement, repairs, or insurance-related projects, Eric brings nearly three decades of experience, calm leadership, and a straightforward promise: communicate clearly, respect the property, and follow through on every commitment.

Bob grew up in upstate New York, where he learned early the importance of hard work, preparation, and respect. After high school, he worked in both commercial and residential construction to save for college, gaining hands-on experience that still shapes how he evaluates roofing systems today.
He later built a long and successful career with Denver Burglar Alarm, eventually rising to Sales Manager. When the family-owned company was sold and shifted away from its customer-first focus, Bob made a deliberate decision to align himself with a company that still prioritized homeowners over numbers.
That decision led him to Excel Roofing.
What started with conversations from friends already at the company was confirmed during a chance chairlift meeting at Mary Jane with J. Bretz. By the time they reached the top, Bob knew Excel Roofing shared the same values he believed in — taking care of customers, employees, and doing business the right way.
“Roofing isn’t just about installing a new roof. It’s about protecting the home and the family underneath it.”
Now a longtime Applewood resident of more than 32 years, Bob serves homeowners throughout Colorado with the mindset that every project should be treated like his own home. His background in both construction and sales leadership gives him a balanced approach — technical precision combined with clear communication and follow-through.
When challenges arise, he handles them directly and calmly.
He listens first, evaluates what happened, and takes action to make it right.
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations.
Family remains central to Bob’s life. He has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for 45 years. Their son Riley lives in Lakewood with his family and works for Lockheed Martin, and their son Shane lives in Georgia with his family and serves as an officer in U.S. Army Special Operations. Outside of work, Bob enjoys maintaining his home, riding his motorcycle, skiing in the Colorado mountains, and spending time working on projects with his family.
For homeowners considering a roof replacement or repair, Bob’s philosophy is simple:
Do the job right. Protect the home. Stand behind the work.

Jacob has been a project manager since 2022 working hands-on with residential roof replacements, repairs, storm damage inspections, and insurance claim coordination. While newer to the industry than some senior pms, he has already managed hundreds of projects and completed Excel Roofing’s in-house training program, and ongoing education through the Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) and OSHA certification programs.
Being physically on roofs early in his career gave him a strong respect for workmanship and detail. He understands how installation decisions impact long-term performance — especially in Colorado’s hail-prone climate.
“No shortcuts. No pressure. Just honest work and clear communication from start to finish.”
Jacob works closely with homeowners to guide them through roof inspections, material selection, and the insurance process when storm damage is involved. He understands that most homeowners replace a roof only once or twice in their lifetime — and that uncertainty often creates stress.
Homeowners deserve transparency, consistency, and peace of mind throughout the entire process.
When challenges arise, Jacob listens first, takes ownership, and focuses on resolving issues quickly and professionally. His leadership style reflects the mentorship and accountability culture within Excel Roofing.
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the job is completed and meets expectations.
Originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jacob was raised with strong community values and a deep sense of personal responsibility. His faith shapes how he leads — operating with integrity, honoring commitments, and treating homeowners and crews with respect.
“Roofing isn’t just a job. It’s an opportunity to serve families and build trust one home at a time.”
Outside of work, Jacob prioritizes faith and family. He enjoys traveling to scuba dive — finding clarity and focus underwater — and is a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan.
For homeowners considering roof replacement, repairs, or storm-related insurance claims in Colorado, Jacob brings hands-on experience, structured training, and a commitment to doing the job the right way.

Neil was born and raised in the Belmar area of Lakewood, Colorado, and has worked in home improvement since his college years. He transitioned into roofing after working around solar projects and seeing firsthand how poor roofing installation could compromise entire systems. That experience shaped his perspective early.
He chose to focus on protecting what everything else depends on — the roof itself.
With hands-on field experience and project oversight, Neil approaches roofing with a disciplined mindset:
“Measure nine times, cut once.”
That attention to detail and commitment to finishing strong define how he manages residential roof replacements, repairs, and storm-related projects across Colorado. He understands how improper installation, rushed flashing work, or ventilation shortcuts can create long-term problems — and he refuses to allow that on projects under his supervision.
Neil chose Excel Roofing because of its family-oriented business style and strong local presence throughout Colorado. The company structure stood out immediately.
“You can always pick up the phone and talk directly to the person you need. That accessibility and accountability matter.”
He believes homeowners deserve to be treated as if the work were being done on his own property — with honesty, education, and clear communication from start to finish. When unexpected issues arise, he addresses them directly.
“There are things in construction we can’t control. But if it’s within our power to fix, we fix it.”
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the job is completed and meets expectations.
Neil’s faith guides how he leads. Honesty, integrity, and transparency are not talking points — they are non-negotiables in both personal and professional relationships.
Family remains close to home. His parents still live in Lakewood, and his brother lives in Golden. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, working out, golfing, and snowboarding in Colorado’s mountains.
When a homeowner feels nervous about a roofing project, Neil begins by asking what specifically concerns them. Most roofing challenges are not new — they have been seen and solved before.
His goal is simple: make sure homeowners feel informed, confident, and fully supported from start to finish.

Flat & Low-Slope Roofing Specialist
After graduating college in 2019, Nick began working for a family friend’s real estate company, where he scheduled and vetted contractors while working toward his real estate license. That experience gave him a strong appreciation for skilled trades professionals and the impact quality workmanship has on property value and long-term performance.
It also introduced him to roofing.
Seeing firsthand how roofing issues could affect transactions, timelines, and budgets led him into the industry full-time. Today, Nick serves as a Project Manager at Excel Roofing and is widely regarded internally as one of the company’s specialists in flat roofing and low-slope commercial systems.
Nick has managed complex, high-value projects requiring coordination with designers, multiple trades, engineers, and specialty materials. His expertise includes EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and other low-slope applications commonly used in commercial and multi-family buildings.
He is considered one of Excel Roofing’s in-house experts when it comes to flat roofs and commercial systems.
Flat roofing demands precision. Drainage, slope design, flashing integration, and membrane detailing leave little room for error. Nick’s strength is organization — anticipating challenges before they become problems and keeping communication consistent from start to finish.
“Leading a project starts with understanding the owner’s goals. Once those are clear, execution becomes simple — stay on schedule, stay on budget, and communicate.”
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Property owners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations.

For property owners who feel overwhelmed by a roofing project — especially commercial or flat roofing systems — Nick begins by identifying exactly what is causing the stress. Once the concern is defined, he builds a structured plan that restores clarity and confidence.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Nick enjoys playing and watching sports, snowboarding, staying active, and listening to comedy podcasts. He prioritizes meditation, acupuncture, and physical training to stay balanced — habits that reinforce the calm, focused approach he brings to every project.

Nick brings 20 years of experience in the home improvement industry, including 13 years working hands-on in construction — building homes from the ground up and restoring what was damaged or failing. That foundation gave him a deep understanding of structural systems, sequencing, and the level of precision required to do the job right the first time.
He has framed houses, corrected structural issues, and seen what happens when shortcuts are taken. That background shapes how he manages roofing projects today.
“My goal is to deliver work customers will never regret.”
Nick chose Excel Roofing because of its culture and reputation for doing things the right way. He believes homeowners deserve full attention and real accountability when trusting someone with their home.
“If something goes wrong, I address it head on.”
His leadership style is steady and direct — taking responsibility, communicating clearly, and resolving issues with integrity. He does not deflect. He does not disappear when problems arise. He handles them.

Nick’s faith guides every part of his life. He lives by Matthew 7:12:
“In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.”
That principle carries into how he treats homeowners — with respect, patience, and advocacy. When someone feels overwhelmed by a roofing project, especially after storm damage or structural issues, Nick reminds them that they are not navigating it alone.
“I’m not just handling a project. I’m building a relationship.”
Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Nick now centers his life around family. He and his wife are intentional about raising and homeschooling their children, investing in their future daily. Outside of work, being a present husband and father is what keeps him grounded.
For homeowners across Colorado considering roof replacement, repairs, or restoration projects, Nick brings two decades of construction knowledge, ownership-driven leadership, and a simple commitment: advocate for the homeowner from beginning to completion — and beyond.

Alexander began working in the home improvement industry in 2019. What drew him in was simple — working outdoors and genuinely helping people. Roofing allowed him to do both.
Since entering the industry, Alexander has helped build hundreds of roofing systems with a focus on customer satisfaction. He has seen projects go perfectly, and he has seen challenges arise. That experience shaped how he leads today.
“No matter what comes our way, the goal is the same: the customer ends happy.”
Working hands-on in the field taught him how to respond quickly, communicate clearly, and keep projects moving even when unexpected issues surface.
He chose to work at Excel Roofing because of the company’s reputation and longevity. Serving homeowners since 1993 and completing more than 55,000 projects, Excel Roofing has built its name on consistency and accountability. Justin began his career in the home improvement industry in 2022 after starting in HVAC in 2020. He was drawn to the trades because he prefers solving real problems for homeowners rather than sitting behind a desk. Roofing gives him the opportunity to think critically, make decisions in real time, and adapt when conditions change — which they often do in Colorado.
Since joining Excel Roofing, Justin has worked on full roof replacements, repairs, shingle systems, and gutter installations across the Denver metro area. Working in the field has strengthened his ability to stay calm under pressure, assess situations quickly, and keep projects moving forward even when unexpected challenges arise.
“No two days are the same. What matters is how you respond.”
Originally from Illinois, Justin graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a degree in Business, where he also played collegiate soccer. That athletic background shaped his discipline, teamwork mindset, and ability to perform when expectations are high. He relocated to Colorado in 2023 and now lives in Roxborough Park, embracing the outdoor lifestyle that keeps him focused and balanced.
At Excel Roofing, Justin values the company’s culture and long-term reputation. Excel has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the job is completed and meets expectations.
Justin approaches every project as if it were his own home.
“A roof protects your family, your finances, and everything inside your house. You deserve to feel informed and confident throughout the entire process.”
When issues arise, he addresses them directly. He believes uncertainty causes stress — and stress is reduced through communication.
“Nothing is impossible to fix with the right plan and the right communication.”
Homeowners working with Justin can expect quick follow-ups, clear scheduling updates, and direct answers. Roofing projects can feel overwhelming, especially when insurance, timelines, and material coordination are involved. His role is to guide homeowners step by step so they always know where their project stands.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys skiing, hiking, and camping. Staying active keeps him grounded and sharp. He does not take life too seriously — but he takes responsibility seriously.
For homeowners considering roof replacement or repairs in Colorado, Justin brings adaptability, responsiveness, and a clear commitment: remove uncertainty, execute the plan correctly, and protect the home long after the project is complete.

Owen began his career in home improvement at 20 years old, starting right here at Excel Roofing. Before that, he worked in sales and customer service, where he developed strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help people. After managing his first full roofing project from inspection to completion, he knew this was the career he wanted to build.
Seeing firsthand the impact a project manager can have, guiding homeowners, solving problems, coordinating crews, and delivering a finished product that protects a family’s home solidified his path.
Born in Boulder and raised in Littleton near Columbine Hills, Owen graduated from Columbine High School. Colorado is not just where he works — it is home. His deep local roots give him a strong connection to the community he serves.
Owen has managed a wide range of residential projects, including full retail roof replacements, storm-related insurance claims, and expanding involvement in commercial roofing systems. He oversees inspections, documentation, scheduling, and quality control to ensure projects stay organized and on track. Early in his career, he installed roofing systems himself to fully understand the craftsmanship behind the work.
That hands-on foundation still shapes how he manages today.
Excel Roofing has been serving homeowners since 1993 and has completed more than 55,000 projects, maintaining a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the job is completed and meets expectations.
Owen believes honesty builds long-term trust.
“If a roof doesn’t have enough damage to justify a replacement, I’ll tell you.”
He would rather earn trust for the future than recommend work that is not necessary.
Homeowners working with Owen can expect clear communication, structured timelines, and accountability from start to finish.
“It’s your home, your investment, and your family under that roof.”
When issues arise as they sometimes do in construction, he addresses them directly and communicates a defined plan to resolve them.
Accountability matters.
Outside of work, family remains central. He has two younger siblings, supportive parents, and two dogs that keep life balanced. The values he leads with are the ones he was raised on: hard work, discipline, and honesty.
For homeowners considering roof replacement, repairs, or storm restoration in Colorado, Owen’s commitment is straightforward: provide clarity, stay organized, and protect what matters most.
Project Manager
Trevor was raised on a farm in northwestern Wyoming, where hard work, discipline, and follow-through were not optional, and they were daily expectations. In 2009, he moved to Colorado to attend Colorado Mesa University, where he wrestled throughout college. That wrestling mindset push through adversity, stay focused, finish what you start still defines how he approaches roofing projects today.
After college, Trevor spent 10 years working for a consulting firm before transitioning into home improvement professionally in 2025. Construction had always been part of his life. He worked in the trades during summers in high school and college and even installed three roofs with a friend’s father as a teenager. Stepping fully into roofing felt like returning to something familiar.
Over the past year, Trevor has worked hands-on installing asphalt shingle systems and multiple metal roofing projects. Metal roofing especially reinforced the importance of precision.
“If we replace a roof, every component should look brand new.”
On a recent project, he noticed a small scuff on the drip edge along the rake — something most homeowners may not have seen.
He pointed it out himself and had it replaced. That’s the standard he holds.
Trevor believes small details are what separate average work from professional work.
Excel Roofing has been serving homeowners since 1993 and has completed more than 55,000 projects, maintaining a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations.
Now settled in Lakewood with his wife, Cadence, whom he married in 2019, Trevor prioritizes family above everything. Their three-year-old son, Oliver, keeps life active, and they are expecting their second child in March. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing and spending time outdoors — recently getting Oliver on skis and looking forward to the day he cannot keep up.
When a homeowner feels overwhelmed about a roofing project, Trevor’s approach is steady and invested.
“From the first meeting, my goal is simple: earn trust, communicate clearly, and deliver a roof done right.”
He takes time to understand each situation, shows up when needed, and works to make the process organized and stress-free from start to finish.
Project Manager
JD began his career in home improvement immediately after college as a Project Manager and Superintendent for Divine Development and Construction. In that role, he coordinated subcontractors, built detailed construction schedules, managed budgets, and ensured projects were completed on time and within scope.
That foundation shaped how he approaches roofing today.
Organization, cost efficiency, and problem-solving without cutting corners.
Earlier in his career, JD worked directly alongside crews and handled solo repair work. That hands-on experience gives him a practical understanding of what teams face in the field from weather delays to material logistics to on-site adjustments. Today, he continues working closely with roofing crews to ensure projects run smoothly from inspection through final walkthrough.
Originally from Austin, Texas, JD spent much of his childhood there before relocating to Denver, Colorado, to pursue a career in the trades. He comes from a tight-knit family of five and describes them as “ride or die.” Over the past seven years, building independence has sharpened his work ethic and accountability.
JD chose Excel Roofing intentionally.
He researched the company, spoke with trusted Project Managers, and saw firsthand how Excel operates.
“Success here is based on work ethic and teamwork.”
Excel Roofing has been serving homeowners since 1993 and has completed more than 55,000 projects, maintaining a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations.
JD believes homeowners deserve honesty and respect.
“A home is one of the largest investments someone will ever make.”
His goal is not just to complete a single project, but to be the contractor a homeowner trusts long term.
When something goes wrong or when a homeowner is frustrated, JD addresses it directly. He prefers face-to-face conversations or phone calls to fully understand concerns and present practical solutions.
“My job is to remove stress from their shoulders, not add to it.”
His Christian faith influences how he leads. He believes attitude shapes outcomes and that showing up with positivity, integrity, and confidence affects both the team and the homeowner experience.
If someone feels overwhelmed about replacing their roof, JD tells them something simple:
“I’ll treat your home like it’s my parents’ house.”
For homeowners across Colorado considering roof replacement, repairs, or storm-related projects, JD brings structured project management, field experience, and a commitment to communication that keeps projects organized and stress-free from start to finish.
Project Manager
Production Manager
Zach entered the home improvement industry because it was already part of his life growing up. With family involved in the trades, he developed an early respect for what it takes to build and protect a home properly. That exposure shaped his understanding of the responsibility that comes with working on something that represents a family’s largest investment.
He began his career in residential roofing, working directly with homeowners and learning how communication, efficiency, and attention to detail determine whether a project succeeds or fails. As his experience expanded, he became increasingly involved in new construction roofing, where scheduling precision and trade coordination are critical.
Working in both residential and new construction environments gave Zach an operational range.
Residential projects demand speed and responsiveness.
New construction demands structure and sequencing.
His role is balancing both without sacrificing quality.
As Production Manager at Excel Roofing, Zach oversees scheduling, crew coordination, material logistics, quality control, and execution standards across projects. His focus is simple:
Execute cleanly. Communicate clearly. Finish strong.
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations.
Zach chose Excel Roofing because of the company’s reputation and long-standing presence in the industry.
“A company’s name represents the standards you hold yourself to.”
He takes pride in being part of a team that values professionalism, accountability, and consistent execution — not shortcuts.
When challenges arise, Zach focuses on resolution and prevention. Problems are addressed quickly, communication is direct, and systems are adjusted so the same issue does not repeat.
Mistakes can happen. Repeating them is a choice.
Originally from South Atlanta and living in Denver since 2014, Zach brings perspective from multiple communities and backgrounds. What drives him daily is building stability and opportunity for his family. That motivation shapes how he leads with accountability, discipline, and respect.
He understands that roofing projects can feel overwhelming for homeowners. Nerves are normal. It means they care.
His guidance is practical:
Choose the right team.
Review the details.
Make informed decisions.
Once the project is complete, most homeowners feel relief and pride knowing their home is protected properly.
Zach serves as the operational leader, ensuring projects are organized, crews are aligned, and roofing systems are installed correctly the first time.
Office Manager
Norma has been a cornerstone of Excel Roofing since 1997. What began as a position fresh out of high school evolved into a long-term professional commitment spanning nearly three decades. Few people understand the internal operations of Excel Roofing more comprehensively than she does.
Having worked in every department over the years, Norma brings a rare, full-spectrum understanding of how roofing projects move from first phone call to final invoice. Today, as Office Manager, she coordinates directly with roofing crews, supports project managers, and directs all internal administrative operations and processes across the company.
She is responsible for maintaining organized Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring documentation accuracy, supporting production flow, and keeping communication aligned between departments.
Her role is simple but critical: make sure the systems behind the scenes run correctly so homeowners experience consistency and clarity.
Norma believes operational discipline is what protects reputation. When paperwork is organized, communication is documented, and processes are followed, projects move smoother and stress is reduced for both homeowners and crews.
Every day is an opportunity to learn, improve, and serve better than yesterday.
Since 1993, Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations. Supporting that level of consistency requires structured internal leadership — and Norma plays a central role in that execution.
She values building trust with customers, especially when emotions are high. Roofing projects can feel overwhelming, and sometimes the first call into the office comes with frustration or confusion. Norma approaches those conversations with patience and clarity.
Listening first is how problems get solved.
Outside of work, family remains her priority. She enjoys time in nature, advocating for her autistic son, and cherishing the moments that matter most. Her faith shapes how she approaches both life and leadership — grounded, grateful, and service-driven.
For homeowners and team members alike, Norma represents stability, organization, and long-term commitment — ensuring Excel Roofing’s internal systems support the promises made in the field.
Marketing & IT Support
Ana’s journey in roofing began in high school, when her first job was placing flyers for a local roofing company. What started as an entry-level introduction to the industry evolved into a long-term career. She officially joined Excel Roofing in 2015 and has grown alongside the company ever since.
Today, Ana leads marketing infrastructure and IT systems management, overseeing the company’s operating platforms to ensure customer information is properly uploaded, secured, organized, and maintained. She plays a critical role in managing internal systems that support project managers, production teams, and administrative operations.
Her responsibility is making sure the technology behind the company runs as cleanly as the roofs installed in the field.
Over the years, Ana has worked on the administrative side of a wide range of projects — from coordinating free roofs for families in need to managing large HOA roofing initiatives. That exposure gave her insight into both the human side of the business and the operational complexity behind large-scale coordination.
No matter the size of the project, her standard remains consistent.
Organization. Accuracy. Clear communication. Do it right the first time.
Ana ensures customer data flows correctly between departments, operating systems are maintained properly, and internal processes are structured to reduce errors and increase accountability. In a company that has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating, organized systems are not optional they are foundational.
Excel Roofing operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until projects are completed and meet expectations. Supporting that level of operational consistency requires disciplined data management and communication — a responsibility Ana takes seriously.
She believes that strong systems protect both the customer and the company. When information is accurate and accessible, teams can make better decisions, communicate faster, and serve homeowners more effectively.
Ana is known internally as a solution-driven professional who values accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement. Her growth within Excel Roofing reflects both personal dedication and the company’s long-term stability.
For homeowners, much of Ana’s work happens behind the scenes, but it plays a direct role in ensuring their information is secure, their projects are organized, and their experience is consistent from first contact to final invoice.
Senior Relationship Specialist
Abby joined Excel Roofing shortly after graduating from Colorado State University, where she earned her degree in Business Marketing. While construction was not originally her planned path, the opportunity felt like a natural fit, especially after experiencing the company from a homeowner’s perspective.
Her parents had their roof replaced by Excel Roofing and had a seamless experience. During the project, the project manager mentioned the company was hiring. Abby applied, joined the team, and has continued growing with the company ever since.
That personal connection gives her a unique perspective. She understands what homeowners hope for during a roofing project — clarity, honesty, and peace of mind.
As Senior Relationship Specialist, Abby focuses on communication, outreach, and protecting the integrity of the Excel Roofing brand. While the crews handle the installation, she helps ensure homeowners feel supported, informed, and respected throughout the process.
“Replacing a roof is a major project. People deserve to know what’s happening every step of the way.”
Excel Roofing has been serving Colorado homeowners since 1993 and has completed more than 55,000 projects, maintaining a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations.
Abby believes honesty builds long-term trust.
If there is no storm damage, the answer is no — not a sales pitch.
When a homeowner feels frustrated or uncertain, Abby listens carefully and ensures the right leaders — project managers, sales managers, or executive leadership — are involved immediately. Her role is to make sure concerns are addressed clearly and professionally.
A Colorado native, Abby grew up in Highlands Ranch and now lives in Lone Tree. Family remains central to her life, especially her close relationship with her younger sister. Outside of work, she enjoys running, pickleball, golf, yoga, and taking advantage of Colorado’s outdoor lifestyle.
For homeowners navigating roof replacement or storm-related repairs, Abby’s focus is simple: clear communication, consistent follow-through, and a professional experience that reflects the standards Excel Roofing has built over more than three decades.
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
Robert joined Excel Roofing in January 2025, bringing a background rooted in technology and systems thinking into the rapidly growing home improvement industry. What drew him in was the renewed respect for skilled trades and craftsmanship — and the opportunity to support that growth from the inside.
He saw a clear connection between structured recruiting, operational systems, and long-term company performance.
The right people determine the strength of the entire organization.
Robert supports recruiting and talent acquisition efforts across the company, meeting candidates from a wide range of professional backgrounds. He understands that changing careers — especially into the trades — is a significant life decision. His approach is centered on clarity, honesty, and understanding each individual’s goals before guiding them through the hiring process.
“Excellence isn’t just a word here. It’s a standard.”
He chose Excel Roofing because of the company’s strong reputation with both homeowners and employees. Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993, maintains a 4.9-star Google rating, and operates fully licensed and insured. The company does not charge money up front, reinforcing the accountability culture Robert works to protect internally.
At the core of how he operates is a simple principle:
Treat people the way you would want to be treated.
Born in Englewood while his father completed graduate studies at CU Denver, Robert has lived in Texas and Massachusetts and attended university in Philadelphia. Experiencing different regions of the country shaped his ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. His family is spread across Colorado, Texas, Georgia, and New York, and he values staying closely connected.
Outside of work, Robert enjoys skiing in the winter and hiking or cycling in the summer. He maintains a strong interest in technology, history, philosophy, and anthropology disciplines that sharpen his curiosity and perspective.
Whether speaking with a candidate exploring a career change or guiding someone through onboarding, Robert leads with empathy and structure.
Career decisions are life decisions. They deserve respect and transparency.
His role is not simply to fill positions; it is to help build a team that upholds the standards homeowners experience in the field every day.
Administrative Assistant
Margarita was born and raised in East Denver, Colorado, and has been part of the Excel Roofing team for 2010 years. What started as a job quickly became something much more: a second home.
Over the years, she has worked in nearly every department within the company. From coordinating directly with roofing crews to supporting project managers and handling administrative responsibilities, Margarita understands how a roofing project moves from the first phone call to completion.
That broad experience gives her a unique perspective.
She knows how important it is for a roof to do two things: protect what’s underneath it and look right when it’s finished.
“It’s not just a roof. It’s someone’s home.”
Being part of a family-oriented company has allowed Margarita to grow professionally while remaining present for what matters most, her three children. She is a proud mom, and her family is her world. That balance is something she deeply values.
Inside Excel Roofing, she is known for being dependable, organized, and steady under pressure. When things get busy — and roofing can get busy — she helps keep communication moving and details from slipping through the cracks.
Excel Roofing has completed more than 55,000 projects since 1993 and maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. The company operates fully licensed and insured and does not charge money up front. Homeowners do not pay until the project is completed and meets expectations. Supporting that level of consistency takes strong internal coordination — and Margarita has been part of that backbone for over a decade.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her kids, going to the movies, being with extended family, and baking cakes and desserts — one of her favorite ways to relax and show love to the people around her.
For homeowners, much of Margarita’s work happens behind the scenes — but it plays a real role in making sure projects feel organized, supported, and handled with care.
Administrative Assistant
Nancy has been part of the Excel Roofing team for eight years, serving as an Administrative Assistant and often the first point of contact for homeowners. Raised in Denver’s North Side now known as the Highlands, she grew up learning the value of hard work and hands-on problem-solving while helping her father with home projects.
Home improvement has always been something she genuinely enjoys. While she may not be installing roofs, she understands what goes into building and protecting a home — and she respects the responsibility that comes with it.
At Excel Roofing, Nancy supports project managers, coordinates with crews, and helps keep communication flowing between departments. Her time working closely with the gutter division strengthened her organizational skills and taught her the importance of clarity when working with homeowners.
Clear communication builds trust — and trust makes projects smoother for everyone.
Nancy believes that when someone calls about their home, they deserve patience, honesty, and real support. Even if a caller is not officially a customer, she does her best to help guide them in the right direction.
“If you can help, you should.”
During her time at Excel, Nancy also earned her associate’s degree in psychology while balancing work and motherhood, an accomplishment she is especially proud of. Excel Roofing’s family-oriented culture has allowed her to grow professionally while staying present for her son.

A proud first-generation Mexican American and graduate of North High School, family is at the center of Nancy’s life, especially her son, her mother (her best friend), her four brothers, and her nephews.

Elisama was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and her family has always been at the center of her life. As the youngest of five, she learned independence early while staying deeply connected to the people who matter most. Her family and her dogs keep her grounded and remind her what truly matters.
She began her career in home improvement when she joined Excel Roofing in an administrative role. Working behind the scenes, she handled roofing permits, supported homeowners through documentation, and helped ensure projects stayed organized and on schedule.

It also shaped her perspective.

If something goes wrong, she addresses it directly. She listens first, collaborates with the internal team, and focuses on resolving concerns quickly and professionally.
Challenges don’t define a project — how you respond to them does.
Outside of work, Elisama is finishing her marketing degree and stays active by working out and spending time outdoors with her dogs. Her faith-based values kindness, service, and integrity guide how she treats both homeowners and colleagues.
When someone feels overwhelmed about replacing their roof, she reminds them that it’s completely normal.
